	What is NeedStuff? It's a great way to find stuff you need, and to give away stuff you don't need - and it's all FREE!!! 'Stuff' can be anything: fridge freezers, food processors, DVDs, books, clothes, cutlery, crockery, electronics - anything, as long as it's legal! Why do we do it? We live in an increasingly materialistic, consumerist world, where we must get the latest and greatest computers, the best fridge freezer, a new lamp, a new three-piece suite etc. That's fine, but what happens to the stuff it replaces? It either gets thrown into landfill or you try to make money off it by auctioning it. There are plenty of people in your local area that will happily take those items off your hands. It's recycling - it saves you time and expense, and it saves the planet! Why not register for a free account and start clearing out the unwanted stuff in your house today! How does it work? We bring together people in your local area and provide a way of giving away items you no longer need to people who need them. It's simple! Login or register for a free account. If you have something you want to give away, post an 'OFFERED' message in your area. Everyone can see your message and can request the item from you. You arrange to present the item to whichever user you decide and set the item to 'AWAITING COLLECTION'. Once the item has been collected, you set the item to 'EXCHANGED' - all done! If you're looking for something, say, a coffee table, post a 'WANTED' message in your local area. If someone has a coffee table they want to give away, they can contact you and you can arrange to collect the item. You then set your item's status to 'AWAITING COLLECTION'. When you've collected the item, you change it to 'EXCHANGED', and that's it! Some people may offer to deliver an item to you for a charge; this is decided between you and the other user, but is not recommended. It is much easier for you to collect an item - it's local after all. NeedStuff makes no arrangements on your behalf, and we do not charge for any of our services. We never ask you for any financial information. Who created NeedStuff? Chris Haynes, because he thought the alternatives are open to misuse and lack any control. NeedStuff staff do not impose control; you are in control of your items at all times. NeedStuff was written in just two weeks and is becoming very successful - which makes you wonder why it hasn't been done before...
